Laurel’s Corner at Kingdom A & S Collegium In the Barony of al-Barran

This is your opportunity to ask a Laurel – whatever!

This isn’t a formal classroom setting, but rather a conversational area where you can ask questions, geek out about period stuff, or ask for help/advice. A schedule of “Laurels on standby ” will be posted with the event schedule, along with our areas of expertise or interest. Come take a moment to relax and meet a few new faces, or ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask.

Queen’s Prize at Kingdom A & S Collegium In the Barony of al-Barran 

The theme will be  “Inspired by Elements of Her Majesty Ymanie’s Personal Arms”.  

This can be colors, creative use of charges, or ideas related to charges (i.e., something celestial inspired by the moons, etc.).  

The deadline to enter is MIDNIGHT October 20th, 2023

The item you choose to enter must be completed within the last year.

Sponsors: A Lady of the Rose, Order of the Dove, a Laurel, or a Flower are encouraged for support in advising and helping the entrant. (The “Dove” is the Order for Outlands Viscountesses).

Sponsors DO NOT NEED TO BE present with the entrants during the contest. Sponsors DO NOT need to purchase a “gift” for the person they sponsor (unless they wish to).

A Sponsor may have more than one entrant for the competition. If you do sponsor more than one person, please let me know so that a list can be made so that the “with entrant” is covered.

Minimum documentation is needed, your name, what you made, why you made it and how you made it, your contact information, and that of your sponsor as well. EZ-DOC: The Form That Writes Documentation For You (larsdatter.com)

I will need your mundane name, SCA name, what you are making, and a way to contact you — your email yes, (a telephone number is good as well).

I also will need how much space you think you shall need for your item. A whole table. Half ½ etc. If you have a very large item such as a tent… let me know that as well.

The information you send to me will be your entry into the Queen’s Prize only. You will still need to register for the actual event itself.
